A beautiful hardbound book showcasing Jody Fausett’s dark and mysterious, personal photography. “Like advertisements for a place you might not want to visit, Jody Fausett’s photographs sizzle with inchoate menace. Fragility and a whiff of violence collide in a body of work centered on Fausett’s kin and the vacant-eyed critters who attest to the family’s favorite avocation of taxidermy” -Felicia Feaster, Creative Loafing 9.5×12 inches (landscape bound). 120 color pages. forward by Bret Busch. Q&A with the artist by David Merten of GHava{Press}
About the Author
Atlanta based photographer Jody Fausett works within the overlap of commercial fashion photography and his own fine art visions. “From sewing tree shaped pillows to overturning marble tables in fancy night clubs, from romantic comedies to schlocky slasher films, Jody Fausett is a renaissance man…sort of. His arts and skills are a little more unpredictable then the common definition attributed to such a person. Where as one fitting the “classical” definition might teach you a thing or two about fine wines and seamlessly segue into the history of italian opera, Jody might educate you on the genius of Paul Verhoeven’s Showgirls after catching a possum with his bare hands. I have known Jody Fausett for almost a decade now and he is easily one the most interesting characters I have ever met. Unassuming at first glance, it is quickly apparent that there is something slightly askew to Jody in both appearance and personality. With a slightly messed up collar, ever changing facial hair… he is constantly pushing the limits of what is acceptable to the norm. This “other-ness” that is slightly above radar in real life becomes fully amplified in his photographs, yet never becomes deafening.” -David Merten, GHava{Press}

I need to know what kind of chairs would go good with a white marble table. The walls are a dill ickle green, the floors are black marble, and the kitchen cabinets are dark brown.
This is for a kitchen.
thx.
Personally (and this has nothing to do with your chair question..) I would incorporate a subtle "eggplant theme"…and have that blended with white to accent the kitchen (upholster chairs if that’s what you’ll have). Eggplant veg has that dark plum/black (your floors are black) and the dill pickle green color stem…and the plums are very popular now in decorating and harmonizes with all your existing colors.
But I’m not there to see it for myself and I don’t know what look you’re aiming for.
i’ve tried a few different things and nothing seems to work
I have never had a MAJOR problem of water rings on counters so… I clean my kitchen counters with windex. Have you tried that?
The e is in layed with a design of semiprecious stones also, in a floral pattern
A lot depends on how it is inlaid. If the top is an inlaid design of all marble, use a stone cleaner like the new 409, TileLab or Countertop Magic stonecleaner. If the marble is inlaid into wood, the job becomes a little more difficult because you cannot use the marble cleaner on wood without damage and you cannot use the wood cleaner on marble without damage to the finish. You literally have to clean each inlaid piece of marble individually by applying the cleaner to a soft rag and cleaning that piece of marble by carefullly tracing it. Then using another rag, use the wood cleaner/polish to clean in between the pieces of marble.
bought a very nice, HUGE dresser from Goodwill, which has a real marble top. Once it was delivered, I realized a huge chunk was missing out of the marble on the front-right corner I figure the best fix would be some kind of clay, etc….something that could mold to the existing marble, since the edges are really jagged. I prefer the entire ‘fix piece’ to be black and glossy when all is said and done. Any ideas as to what material to use?
TIA!
I found this, it is called "marble filler"

You can always use some glossy black touch-up paint to cover the patched area.
Most items are really harsh on marble, and remove the finish, but not the stain. The BEST way to have a beautiful table it to take the top to a marble/granite fabricator and have them re-finish the top. They will buff it and re-seal it. Gorgeous!
