A marble tile measures . How many tiles will be required to cover a wall of size if you lay the 15cm side along the 6m wall?

What kind of tiles are you laying, is it wall tiles or just skirting tiles? Your question is lacking or incomplete with some details in order for us to answer it correctly. Please provide us the following :

1) What is the size of the tiles, is it 15cm x 15cm?
2) What is the complete dimension of a wall, you just give us only a length. What is the height?

Okey, assuming that you both ask for the number of tiles for wall tiles and skirting tiles. Please see the calculation below :

For the No. of Wall Tiles, here is the formula :
No. of tiles = Area of the Wall / Area of 1 piece of tile

For the No. of Skirting Tiles :
No. of tiles = 6m / 0.15m
No. of tiles = 40 pieces (answer)

Choose color that will complement to the floor tiles, it should be in uniform means if you apply the color on the other side of the wall it should be also applied on the other sides.

In our bathrooms we have marble tile on the floor. My mom has been having a difficult time cleaning them and getting the marks off of them. She says when we walk on the floor with our feet wet our have soap on them if we happen to get out the shower to quickly grab something then it marks the floor and its hard to remove. We were wondering if there was any way to clean the tile to remove any markings or stains and even maybe bring shine. Anything to bring it back to life. Thanks

Marble is porous, like a sponge. You need to have the marble professionally buffed and sealed in order to get rid of this problem.

Good luck.

Anyone got one, whats the practicality of using a polished marble floor tile in a kitchen – thank you D

Being practical, marble, polished or not isn t a good flooring for a kitchen. It needs sealing, special cleaning and maintenance and a lot of careful upkeep.
Stones like travertine are a bit better and they too need occasional sealing but are a bit easier.
Granites are even easier to maintain, but with all the porcelains a nd ceramic looks out there, that would be my 1st choice other than marble.Marble is beautiful but not practical in a kitchen.
Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL

Mop or wipe down your tile regularly using an appropriate cleaner (avoid cleaners that are vinegar or soap based). Never use abrasive cleaners or cleaning aids, such as steel wool or rough scrub brushes, to clean your tile.

Remove mildew and other stains to your grout by throwing together a weak mixture of bleach and water and applying it to the stains with a rag or washcloth. For more stubborn stains use a small scrubbing tool (a toothbrush works great) to get the grout clean.

you can find more tips there, hope it’s of help.

Our tile man installed too much mud on some parts of the bathroom floor (to compensate for a 125 yo sloping floor) which apparently caused some of the 12" polished marble tiles to sink more than others. The floor looks like crap and has sharp edges where some corners jut out. Besides tearing out the floor, is there anything that can be done to fix this? Can the floor be ground down & re-polished on the high spots? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

i think you are out of luck there.he should of leveled the floor first with a scratch coat ( or a self leveling compound) letting it dry then another coat of adhesive to attach the tiles

I have laid down marble tile in the bathroom and I am needing to seal it for future use, what is the best sealer to use for this. I have heard of penetrating and impregnating but am unsure of the actual products out there. Looking for an answer from someone who has experience with this.

I ve used and will use , in the future, Miracle 511 or Cerama Seal penetrating sealers.Readily available in most all big box stores and where ever tile products are sold. Also do your grout a minimum of twice after installation and waiting the minimum of 72 hrs and the haze is all cleaned off the marble.
I use either of these two prior to installing any stone product and never a problem.
Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL

I just went to E How and looked up marble tile to clean, use ammonia and warm water in a spray bottle leave on few minutes and wipe off with a micro cloth and buff dry, U should seal marble when it’s clean and this will help with the soap and hard water, also always dry your shower when done.
