Brits, return what …
Brits, return what s ours
of an english …
of an english arrogant guy who thinks he is God himself to judge if Greeks are worth the marbles…excuse me who are you to judge my country and my people? the thieves of our marbles and bloody imperialist murderers are going to judge us? Get a life – The marbles belong to PARTHENON AND GREECE!!!
let me remind you …
let me remind you arrogant maureen British envolvement in Greek civil war which wrecked litteraly the Greek people and sent back Greece in stone ages, hmm…also your “divide and rule” dirty game in Cyprus which lead to this tragedy, Greeks were giving their wars till 1974 while you sit back enjoying your cup of tea and pretty much yes your country has its share in this, i find your comment as a usual comment
I have repeatedly …
I have repeatedly requested that you keep your kind language and nice logical arguements to a level. I haven’t posted this video for cursing purposes!!!
Just in case you don’t understand english…
well done man nice …
well done man nice say! thumbs up!
and maureen, i …
and maureen, i understand your reaction to my first comment as a reaction of someone who is reasonably not emotionally involved with foreign issues. But imagine that in the future you – unhopefully of course – get conquered and you stay under slavery for many years – for us it was 400 years!! – and then one day you get free trying to get your missing pieces together, wich takes many years, and lets say during the slavery they stole your national treasures…would u not want them back or not???
i’d also like to …
i’d also like to add this : it’s a fact that greece has issues to solve such as economic ones, but these issues only concider our country itself and they have nothing to do with having the ultimate right to reclaim our national properties!
i also think that britain is with no doubht a very powerfull country with strong economy and industry and wanting so badly to make a benefit out of other country’s culture is such a pitty…it just doesn’t make sense…
maureen what can i …
maureen what can i say….how rude can you be…i guess 400 years of slavery can give an answer to your question about us being 100 in the past socially! and as for whether we are worthy of them,is as if i ask you whether you deserve to have the Big Ben in Britain or not!not a country worthy of them???we made them!!! the issue is cultural but the problem is political!
Next time that …
Next time that somebody swears on my thread I will remove it and also block them!
I do not regard swearing as a convincing arguement from any side. You are belittling the campaing and the cause for sure and I DO NOT accept that!
your political …
your political views and Ideas out of my thread and video girl. this is cultural issue, rather than a political one obviously and also by being a racist against communist and expressing it so vehemently does you wrong, not my project of the Greek Communist party. You may disagree but not disrespect please
Wow Maureen, not …
Wow Maureen, not only are you a a rude cow, but you have your facts wrong and your opinions clearly display that of a sub-par education, mixed in with a healthy dose of fear.
Ask the turks, …
Ask the turks, seeing as they were the ones that sold them.
I’m sure the brits would sell them to turkey for a few billion pounds.
Yes, right, the …
Yes, right, the british are responsible for greece being such a mess, right? Nothing to do with Greece being 100 years in the past socially, is it?
The fact that you still have a significant communist party just about says it all, doesn’t it?
When you are a country worthy of them, you can have them back, not a moment before.
yes genius the the …
yes genius the the cost for the entrance in acropolis museum is 1 euro…toooo much isn’t it???
What can anyone …
What can anyone expect from a country that has been behind almost every political instability in Greece over the years and then use this instability as an excuse for not giving back the Parthenon Marbles????
Shame on every British Government so far….
you have stolen our …
you have stolen our girl little pretty Cariatis, we wont her back !!! with her friends our marbles !!!
bring them back !!!!
, thus further …
, thus further contributing to their erosion, believing that marbles should always show clean white. Not to mention the irreparable, catastrophic damage on them by the time they moved them from Athens to London.
Outcome: fees are petty details my dear, the argument is solid, loud and clear: the marbles need to be unified under one roof, that of the owner preferably please, not the thieves roof!
Since you are …
Since you are worried that even though that British Museum has “taken care” of the marbles for “free” and we are going to take care of them for a fee. I need you to go and check some bibliography and reference and Melina Mercouri interviews clearly stating that the marbles have been scrubbed and washed with chlorine,
I do believe that …
I do believe that at this point I need to let you know that visiting the Parthenon is cheaper than visiting the Quins castle in Windsor
If you are a student you don’t need to pay an entrance fee.
While we may want …
While we may want these marbles returned, are we committed to looking after them? Are we committed to giving free access to people who want to see them? I dont think so
The British museum may not be their rightful home, but they are cared for in such a place and free access if provided to all something I dont see happening in Greece.
To the English …
To the English government:
Return what you have stolen. Prove the World you respect History. Earn your lost honor.
There will be a …
There will be a world outcry for the British Museum……Can you imagine pieces from Mona Lisa located in museums around the world ?
They show the story …
They show the story of the marbles in 3D animations videos…we have the buildind next to the museum…so whats best for the understanding §???give them BACK
Though invited, no …
Though invited, no British official was present at the inauguration of the new Acropolis Museum. Thus, they acknowledge responsibility for not sending the stolen marbles back to their “home”. On the contrary, Heidelberg Museum (Germany) sent back all Parthenon pieces it had.
