David Frum seems … David Frum seems like a totally rational human being in this interview…..i’m really amazed that this is the same douche who wrote the “axis of evil speech”.
Now I wonder who … Now I wonder who will be footing the bill for all those lawyers when the GOP’s governors etc make fools of themselves trying to overturn a democratic Health bill ? Oh yeah – the taxpayers – EVEN THOSE IN FAVOUR OF THE BILL ?
EVERY AMERICAN … EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD BE ENTITLED TO DECENT HEALTH CARE IN THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. (AMERICA )
WHAT IS MONEY W/NO HEALTH
AMERICANS MAKE MONEY PRIORITY.
OUR PRIORITIES SHOULD BE FAMILY, HEALTH AND PEOPLE, & COUNTRY FIRST. NOW THAT WE CAN GET AFFORDABLE INSURANCE WE CAN MOVE TOWards improving economy. WE NEED TO BUY AMERICAN, SUPPORT STORES THAT SUPPORT AMERICAN MANUFACTURING.
polls dont matter…to our government, the constitution matters…this is not within the limits of the constitution; therefore, this law is unconstitutional and as such i no law at all but an idea backed by force and immoral taking of the individuals property.
@armatus99 If … @armatus99 If mandatory coverage leads to lower costs we would have seen auto insurance rates drop with mandatory coverage. That didn’t happen with auto insurance and it will not happen with health insurance. This bill is a gift to the health insurance companies. It will not bring down health care costs or improve service. It will only redistribute the payment for it. The health care industrial complex will only benefit from this legislation. That I would bet on, for they always do.
Sorry f*cktards, … Sorry f*cktards, but the number of states creating legislation’s to block this LIE, and declare state sovereignty under the Constitution, is growing every day. It’s up to 37 now.
Being forced to pay corporations for health insurance is not “health care reform”.
Stealing 500billion from medicare, and over 500 billion in new taxes sounds like a RepubliCON program. No reform pertaining to price increases. FTW are you thinking.
Seek OZ/BARRY and ask for a brain.
They are still … They are still reasoning and able persons within the Republican party.
Sadly enough, their voices have been muted by some American Taliban-like shouting heads engaged in bigoted and populist scare tactics.
you still fail to … you still fail to see that it is much more expensive to pay for those uninsured when they really get sick/worse. by helping them get insurance you LOWER the overall costs.
and this bill has soo many problems, but considering that one side of the process was against almost anything, it still is a great step forward to a cheaper, yet better healthsystem
@johncrwarner No go … @johncrwarner No go further to 2:17 where he says “So lawmakers here have now passed a bill that most Americans neither approve of nor understand”.
marcostar57 – the … marcostar57 – the reporter said that it “unpopular with them” the “them” was the angry minority – and yes it is unpopular with them. The evidence is that few know what the bill contained and few know what they are angry about either.
I understand that in most polls that asked about health care reform there was approval in the US as a whole but not amongst the teabaggers.
@marcostar57 Neil … @marcostar57 Neil MacDonald is the brother of former SNL comedian Norm MacDonald. Norm is also a Republican. He probably talks to his brother all the time about how some Fox News poll shows that 99% of Americans hate the bill.
what poll..most … what poll..most disapprove?! Gawd..even CBC can’t the facts right! A poll released today shows people split nearly 40-40.
Great comments from Frum..though!
The US uses bits … The US uses bits and pieces of each of the other world systems. The problem with this bill is the mandatory purchase and the taxes it will require to pay for those who cannot pay. It doen’t do them any credibility to back this up with an immigration law which is expected to hand care to immigrants. It must suck to be a politician who doesn’t read or watch youtube.
